PUBG Introduce exciting features in their new updates

PUBG's PC game had long been testing out an update patch. The patch, Update 22, was finally incorporated into the game recently.

It brings a host of changes to the gameplay and player profiles. These include a new ranking system, a radial menu, map selection options, and a developed anti-cheat system.

These promise to make the popular Battle Royale smoother and fairer to all.

Rise up the ranks as you get your chicken dinner

The new ranking system is somewhat inspired by the mobile version of the game.

There are 8 ranks as players progress, starting with 'Bronze', going to 'Grand Master'.

These ranks depend on Rank Points and players get their first rank after 10 matches.

The Rank Points, which are awarded after every performance in-game, determine whether players move or down the system.

Anti-cheating

A strict crackdown on cheaters

PUBG has cracked down on cheaters as part of its campaign to improve the overall gameplay experience.

To this extent, the new update has anti-cheat features which have been developed in-house by PUBG. For now, players can disable the new anti-cheat features if they face compatibility issues.

Notably, once the system undergoes final testing on live servers, the disabling option will be removed.

Radial menus

Quick selection, quick use, faster gameplay

PUBG is famous for streamlining the gameplay experience for efficiency.

After this update, two radial menus will appear for throwable objects and health items.

The former will be assigned by default to F1, and the latter to F2 keys. An emote wheel is also coming which has been assigned to F4.

All wheels can be exited immediately by right-clicking the mouse button.

Map and future

The return of a beloved feature and new horizons

After Sanhok was added, PUBG did away with the map selection system. However, the new update reintroduces it.

Players can now select the option of quickly joining the first available map or wait for the choice of the map to become available.

While these new features are exciting, PUBG brings even better news as it is expected to release for PS4 soon.
